Our annual Reunion Dinner for our Alumni 2014-2015
|9 May 2019|
On the last Friday of the Spring Term no sooner had the last of our current pupils left for the holidays, our Alumni from 2014-2015 began to arrive for their Reunion Dinner.
This is a lovely occasion when staff can catch up with their former pupils as they talk about schools, University and their future aspirations - as well of course as taking a stroll down memory lane. However, the first hurdle for staff is to establish whether they recognise the young person standing in front of them. While some seem to change very little, others appeared to have had a total transformation! All the staff value this event and fondly remember them all from their early days at Marlborough House. Remembering these young adults as former pupils is most rewarding, especially to see how they have all continued to grow in confidence. It was also a great pleasure to see so many of our former parents staying to enjoy a drink and having the chance to catch up with families who they may not have seen for quite a while. Indeed, was it really over three years since we had seen some of them?
A most enjoyable evening was had by all the pupils and the attending staff (Martyn and Rachel Ward, Paul Tooze, Brian Judd, Katrina Atkins, Rob and Melanie Mathers, Philippa Archer, Di Day and Margaret McTrusty).
We catch up with Annabel Guye-Johnson, alumna and bronze medal winner at the Junior Swimming World Championships. More...
